No matter what the need – peace of mind, independence for an older person who lives alone, or individuals with a high-risk medical condition - a Medical Alert Service program will put you in touch with another person to get you assistance.  The easy to use electronic device is designed to signal the response center who then can call for you friends, relatives, neighbors, or emergency service whenever help is needed.  The system consists of two parts; a small base unit and a waterproof personal help button.  It connects to the existing telephone line and electrical outlet in your home.  A rechargeable battery pack is built into the base unit in the event of a power outage.

Whenever help is needed you push the button on your personal help button which automatically calls our 24-hour monitoring center.  Within minutes a friendly voice will respond to your call for help.  The attendant will know who you are and will have all the necessary information regarding your medical history.  They will have the telephone numbers of people you have selected as responders and the emergency numbers for your local EMS, fire and police.  All this will appear on their computer monitor shortly after your call is made.  They will then proceed to make calls on your behalf to get you assistance.  With a Medical Alert System in your home you may be alone but never have to feel alone again.
